I saw people wearing shorts on campus today, and it wasn’t just those guys who wear shorts all year long because they are afraid of pants. You know those guys. Actually, it’s just pretty nice outside! It’s April now, so let’s sit on the quad and listen to this spring flavored playlist. I’m going to get so tan.

“Step Into The Breeze” sounds basically just like that; stepping squinty eyed into a lovely sunny day where even looming finals can’t get you down. After get dancing as Sonia totally outdoes the Rolling Stones with “Aqui en Mi Nube.” And speaking of those Stones, they recently released an unheard version of “Wild Horses,” so I threw that on here because that song obviously rules.

Also making appearances are some of the bands featured at last weekend’s MACROCK festival. Zula, Dorthia Cottrell and Friend Roulette laid it down in Harrisonburg and made fans of all in attendance. Check them out and relive MACROCK on your front porch.

“Steve Biko (Stir It Up)” by A Tribe Called Quest is one of the greatest feel good jams of all time, and it feels like we are all ready for some feel good jams. “Memory Lane” by Eddy Current Suppression Ring and “Funky Drummer” by James Brown are obviously very different tunes, but will put the same sort of strut in your step now that it’s not too cold to walk to class.

Happy spring everybody. Hopefully this playlist soundtracks a sunny end to your school year. Look for me outside – I’ll be the tan one.
